Everything about my short visit to this little place was great! I had the Greek coffee and Cod fish sandwich (with lemon potatoes). The fish was fresh, comes wrapped in pita bread, and was fried perfectly. Also, the tzatziki sauce and salad that comes with it added to the freshness! The lemon potatoes were not too acidic and complemented the sandwich well as a side (you have a few options for sides). The Greek coffee, which I had never tried before, was frothy and superb, even with zero sugar added (which is normally my preference). So, if you're a fan of great food in general, and are in the area, make it a point to stop by Aliki's for a quick lunch or dinner!

the food is the star here... My fave was the avglelomono (lemon) soup---best I have ever had. The gyro plate and the protein moussaka were delicious also. The apricot yogurt was tangy and creamy. Will have to return to try other items. Park in the hotel (area is a little shady as we saw 2 houseless people who seemed to be on something nearby).

My first time visiting Alikiβs Greek Taverna and Los Angeles in California which left me genuinely disappointed, especially after reading promising reviews online. What a CHEAT. Given its convenient location near LAX and connection to a nearby hotel, I expected a well-run establishment that caters to travelers. At first glance, the atmosphere seemed welcomingβthere were several occupied tables, and customers appeared relaxed and happy. However, things quickly went downhill. The front counter was cluttered with stacked food containers, making it difficult to even approach or communicate properly with the staff or chef. The cashier area looked disorganized and untidy, which is concerningβespecially coming from someone with experience as both a restaurant manager and chef. First impressions matter, and this setup felt chaotic rather than inviting. The menu itself was fairly underwhelming compared to authentic Greek dining experiences Iβve had in Athens, the UK, Turkey, and Spain. I ordered a lamb sandwich expecting fresh, thinly sliced shawarma-style meat, but instead received chunky pieces that tasted far from fresh. The dish was heavily masked with sauce, which made it seem like

There is not enough Greek food in LA. This hole in the wall restaurant in a motel by LAX is great. Great food, great service, great vibe. LA is so full of over the top fancy places, itβs nice to see a place I would see in Chicago or NYC. Just tasty food with no frills. I will be back!! I think the dessert I got is called Galaktoboureko. Not on the menu but they offered it and it was great.

This was my second Greek food experience since my trip to Las Vegas! To truly dive in and try more, I ordered both the Gyro plate and Mousaka. The salad and its dressing were incredibly fresh and blended so well together β absolutely delicious! The Mousaka was like a unique take on lasagna, generously packed with eggplant and potatoes. If you're wondering about the taste, imagine a savory, meat-flavored gnocchi! It was a delightful discovery.
